About the Beach

Spilia Beach is a beautiful and quiet bay located just a short walk from the port of Agios Georgios on the southwestern side of Agathonisi. The beach is a combination of pebbles and soft sand with remarkably clear and vibrant blue waters that deepen quickly from the shore. It takes its name from the nearby sea caves that dot the rocky coastline and provide excellent opportunities for snorkeling and exploration. The area is dotted with several tamarisk trees that offer natural shade making it a popular choice for families and those spending the entire day by the sea. While it remains largely unorganized it is close enough to the main village to offer a perfect balance of seclusion and convenience.
