About the Beach
Porto Zoro Beach is an impressive and picturesque sandy shore on the southeastern coast of Zakynthos, located within the tranquil Vasilikos area about eleven kilometers from the main town. It features fine golden sand and crystal-clear turquoise water, famously characterized by a group of large, dramatic rock formations that emerge from the sea at the southern end of the bay. The beach is partly organized with rows of sunbeds and umbrellas, while other sections remain open and free for those who prefer a more natural experience. Numerous large trees line the back of the shore, providing a generous amount of natural shade and a fresh, green backdrop to the Mediterranean scenery. The water is relatively shallow and the entry is easy for all swimmers, making it a premier choice for families and those seeking a relaxed environment for snorkeling among the rocks. A stylish beach bar and a traditional restaurant are located nearby, offering high-quality service and a social atmosphere in a well-maintained location. Access is easy via a paved road with plenty of parking available for visitors. The atmosphere is friendly and reflects the modern spirit of the island tourism. It is a central part of the coast.
