About the Beach

Dafni Beach is a beautiful and strictly protected sandy beach on the southeastern coast of Zakynthos, forming part of the National Marine Park. It features fine golden sand and clear, warm water, with a wide view of the Gulf of Laganas and the Peloponnese. The beach is a major nesting ground for the Caretta caretta sea turtles, and for 2026, environmental regulations limit facilities and hours to ensure the safety of the nests. Access is via a rugged dirt road, which keeps the crowds away and preserves the natural character of the area. It is a destination for nature lovers who want to experience the raw beauty and wildlife of the island in a respectful way. The water is clean and the entry is easy and sandy for all swimmers.
