About the Beach

Rema is one of the most picturesque and unique spots on Kimolos, located right next to the fishing village of Goupa. It is not a traditional beach but a natural swimming pool enclosed by impressive volcanic rock formations. The water is a brilliant turquoise and is so clear that you can see every detail of the rocky seabed. One of the most striking features of Rema is the "sirmata," which are traditional boat garages carved directly into the colorful soft rock with brightly painted wooden doors. It is a fantastic place for jumping into the deep water and for snorkeling around the unique underwater topography. The area is well-protected from the winds, ensuring calm conditions for swimming.
