About the Beach
Syneti Beach is a visually striking and deep coastal bay located on the eastern side of Andros directly below the mountainous village of the same name. The landscape is characterized by its wild and primitive beauty featuring massive vertical cliffs and caves that frame a shore covered in large white pebbles. It is geographically significant as the estuary of the Dipotama valley where a lush ravine with traditional watermills meets the sea creating an environment of incomparable natural power. Because the bay faces north it is often exposed to the wind and waves which enhances the rugged and dramatic atmosphere that famously served as a filming location for the movie Little England.
