About the Beach
Vori Beach is a remote and wild coastal stretch located on the eastern coast of Andros at the end of a lush valley filled with plane trees and a running stream. The landscape is exceptionally primitive and significant because it features the shipwreck of a cargo ship that has become part of the local scenery over the years. The surrounding terrain is rugged and mountainous with the dense vegetation of the valley providing a stark contrast to the rocky and wind swept coastline. Because it is difficult to reach and completely unorganized it offers a sense of total isolation where the natural elements of the forest meeting the sea create a raw and powerful environment far from the main settlements.
