About the Beach
Askeli Beach is the longest and most vibrant coastal stretch on Poros located northeast of the main port at the base of a pine covered hillside. The landscape is characterized by its expansive scale and a long line of eucalyptus and tamarisk trees that provide a soft green border along the road and the shore. As the islands primary tourist hub the area is fully organized with numerous beach bars water sports facilities and traditional hotels that follow the curve of the bay. Despite the high level of development the surrounding mountains and the lush valley behind the beach offer a sense of grandeur and a classic Mediterranean atmosphere.
