Getting from Antipaxos to Parga

If you are heading to Parga from Antipaxos you are making one of the most natural connections from the island, to a Venetian-built harbour town on the Epirus coast just across the water to the northeast. It faces the Ionian Sea with good beaches and a relaxed waterfront atmosphere.

Take the ferry

There are no scheduled ferries from Antipaxos to Parga. Antipaxos has no ferry port of its own and is accessible only by sea taxi from Gaios on Paxos. Getting to Parga means taking the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos, the ferry from Paxos to Igoumenitsa and then taking a bus or taxi northeast to Parga, which takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour from Igoumenitsa. It is one of the most natural and direct connections from Antipaxos given the geographic proximity on the Epirus coast.

Getting there by air

Parga has no airport. The nearest airports are Preveza, around 65 kilometres south, and Ioannina, around 103 kilometres east. Antipaxos has no airport either. Taking the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos, the ferry from Paxos to Igoumenitsa and taking a bus or taxi to Parga gives a total journey time of around 2.5 to 3 hours and avoids Athens entirely. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Take the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos, the ferry from Paxos to Igoumenitsa and take a bus or taxi northeast to Parga. It is the most direct and natural approach and avoids Athens entirely. At around 45 minutes to 1 hour from Igoumenitsa it is one of the closest mainland destinations to Antipaxos on the Epirus coast.
