About the Beach

Ammos Beach is a small and very handy sandy beach located right in the middle of the town of Agios Nikolaos which makes it super easy to visit if you are staying in the city instead of having to take a long bus ride out into the countryside. It is right next to the big marina where you can see lots of expensive boats and sailing ships, and the water is usually very calm because it is tucked away in a corner of the bay where the wind does not hit it directly. There are plenty of cafes and shops just a few steps from the sand, so it is a great place to go for a quick swim and then grab an ice cream without having to drive anywhere or pack a big bag for the whole day.
