About the Beach

Kouremenos Beach is a really long and wide beach way out on the east side of Crete that is famous for being one of the best places in Europe to go windsurfing because the wind blows here almost every single day in the summer. It has brownish sand and lots of little pebbles with a few trees for shade, and while it is not super crowded with big hotels, you will see tons of people with colorful sails flying across the water. The ground around the beach is flat with olive trees everywhere, making it a great spot if you like being active and watching professional surfers do tricks in the waves.
