About the Beach

Azolimnos Beach is a charming and easily accessible sandy shore on the southeastern coast of Syros, located just five kilometers from the capital of Ermoupoli. It features coarse golden sand and clear azure water, offering a convenient and family-friendly escape with a direct view of the neighboring island of Tinos. The beach is well-organized with many rows of sunbeds and umbrellas, and it features three distinctive piers from which visitors enjoy diving into the refreshing sea. Numerous tamarisk trees line the back of the shore, providing plenty of natural shade for those who prefer a more relaxed environment away from the commercial sections. The surrounding area is vibrant, with many traditional tavernas and cafes located across the coastal road, serving fresh local seafood and refreshing drinks. The water is shallow and the entry is very easy for all swimmers, making it a safe and practical choice for a day by the sea. It is a hub of local activity and reflects the friendly character of the island community. The atmosphere is social and the beach is consistently awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness.
