About the Beach
Delfini Beach is a spectacular and well-protected sandy bay on the northwestern coast of Syros, located just north of Kini and known for its exceptionally clear turquoise water and its relaxed, bohemian atmosphere. It features a wide stretch of fine golden sand and small pebbles, surrounded by a rugged and dry Cycladic landscape that provides a sense of peace and privacy away from the busier eastern resorts. The beach is partially organized with a stylish beach bar and a few rows of sunbeds, while the northern end remains entirely free and is a traditional favorite for nudists and nature lovers. The water is consistently calm because the bay is shielded from the strong northern meltemi winds, making it a premier choice for a long and tranquil swim. Access is via a scenic but narrow road from Kini or a coastal hiking path that offers panoramic views of the Aegean and the nearby islets. There are no large trees for natural shade, so you must be prepared with your own supplies if you move away from the organized section. The entry into the water is very easy and sandy for all swimmers, and the clarity is consistently high. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the respectful rhythm of the island life.
