About the Beach

Galissas Beach is one of the most popular and well-organized sandy beaches on the island of Syros, located in a large protected bay. It features fine golden sand and very shallow, crystalline water that is a choice for families with small children. The beach is fully organized with many sunbeds, umbrellas, and various water sports facilities, making it a hub for social activity. The surrounding village offers many tavernas, cafes, and shops just a few steps from the water. A unique feature of the area is the small chapel of Agia Pakou on the hill above, offering a panoramic view of the coastline. The water is consistently calm and inviting for a swim.
