About the Beach

Elounda Beach is a famous and very calm beach located in a fancy resort town where the water looks like a giant swimming pool because it is so still and clear that you can see all the way to the bottom. It is protected by a long peninsula and an island called Spinalonga, so there are hardly ever any big waves, which makes it perfect for people who just want to float around on a raft and hang out. The sand is soft and golden, and because some of the most expensive hotels in the world are right here, the whole area feels very clean and well looked after with lots of nice chairs and umbrellas for everyone to use.
