About the Beach

Faros is named after the island’s lighthouse and is a dramatic swimming area located on the rocky tip of the coastline. It offers a very open and powerful connection to the sea, with deep water that is incredibly clear and full of life. Like other spots on the island, you swim from the rocks, which provides a very clean and invigorating experience. Because it is located at a more exposed point, the water can be cooler and more refreshing than in the protected harbor. It is a great place for those who enjoy exploring the underwater rock formations and seeing a variety of fish. The views of the lighthouse and the surrounding cliffs are very impressive, making it a scenic spot for a long, quiet swim. The lack of organization ensures that the vibe remains natural and focused on the raw beauty of the Mediterranean.
