About the Beach
Hohlakas Beach is a stunning, rugged stretch located on the western coast of Kalymnos, just below the village of Panormos. It is famous for its large, smooth white pebbles and the deep, brilliant turquoise water that characterizes this side of the island. Because the beach faces the open sea and is framed by steep, vertical cliffs, it feels incredibly wild and dramatic. It is widely considered one of the best spots on Kalymnos to watch the sunset, as the sun dips directly into the sea behind the silhouette of Telendos island. It is a fantastic beach if you are looking for a natural, uncommercialized setting where the focus is entirely on the impressive landscape and the clarity of the water.
