About the Beach

Melitsachas Beach is a charming and authentic stretch of coastline located on the western side of Kalymnos, right near the village of Myrties. It is a mix of sand and pebbles that offers a much quieter alternative to the busier resort beaches nearby, making it a favorite for those who prefer a more local feel. The water is remarkably clear and calm, providing an excellent vantage point for watching the local fishing boats move in and out of the small harbor. One of the biggest draws of this beach is the spectacular, unobstructed view of the island of Telendos rising out of the sea directly in front of you. It is a great beach if you want to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of swimming followed by a meal at one of the traditional seaside tavernas that sit just a few steps from the water.
