About the Beach

Platys Gialos Beach is widely considered one of the most beautiful and unique coastal spots on Kalymnos, located on the western side of the island near the village of Panormos. It is famous for its striking contrast of deep black volcanic sand against the brilliant turquoise of the Aegean Sea. The beach is broad and offers a dramatic, open view of the water, making it a premier location for watching the sunset.
