Myrties Beach is a popular and scenic stretch on the western coast of Kalymnos, serving as the main hub for those crossing over to the island of Telendos. The beach is primarily composed of dark pebbles and shingle, which makes the water appear incredibly clear and deep blue. It is a lively spot where you can watch small boats shuttling back and forth across the narrow channel, and the view of the massive, pyramid-like silhouette of Telendos directly ahead is one of the most iconic sights on the island. Because it is located right in the heart of a busy village, it is a great beach if you want to be within walking distance of numerous cafes, shops, and tavernas while enjoying a swim in a classic Mediterranean setting.
