About the Beach

Kalamies Beach is a secluded and charming bay located on the northern coast of Kalymnos, just past the village of Emporios. It is characterized by its small white pebbles and exceptionally clear, calm water that glows with a brilliant turquoise color. The beach is unique because it is lined with several large tamarisk trees that offer natural shade right up to the water's edge. Because of its sheltered position and the abundance of rocky outcrops along the sides of the bay, it is one of the premier spots on the island for snorkeling and discovering marine life.
