About the Beach

Kaminia is a remote and very quiet beach located on the southeastern part of Ithaca, reached by a dirt road or by boat. It is a pebbly shore with incredibly clear water and a very rugged, natural landscape. There are no facilities at all, so it is a place for those who enjoy a bit of adventure and want to be away from the main tourist hubs. The water is deep and full of fish, making it a great destination for snorkeling. The surrounding area is dry and rocky with sparse vegetation, which contrasts with the lushness of the northern part of the island. It is an ideal spot for anyone who wants to spend a day in total solitude, surrounded only by the sea and the sound of the wind. The sense of privacy here is very strong, providing a true escape for the soul.
