About the Beach

Katsiveli is a long and narrow stretch of sand and pebbles located just a short walk from the main port of Ios. It is a very convenient choice for a quick swim, offering clear water and a great view of the boats entering the harbor. The beach is partially organized with some sunbeds, but it generally maintains a much quieter and more relaxed vibe than the nearby Mylopotas. Because it is so close to the Chora and the port, you have easy access to plenty of cafes and shops. The water is usually very calm, making it a safe and easy place for families or casual swimmers to spend a few hours. It is a great middle ground for those who want a beautiful swimming environment without the need for a car or a long boat trip.
