About the Beach

Psathi is a large and impressive bay located on the eastern coast of Ios, known for its wild beauty and the quality of its golden sand. Because it faces the open sea, it can get quite windy, making it a popular spot for windsurfers and those who enjoy a more powerful Aegean experience. The water is turquoise and very clear, though it gets deep fairly quickly. There is a small settlement nearby with a few traditional tavernas where you can enjoy fresh seafood right by the water. The beach is partially organized with some sunbeds, but it is large enough that you can always find a quiet spot to yourself. It has a very relaxed and authentic feel, far removed from the party atmosphere of the main village.
