About the Beach

Kolokytha Beach is a hidden gem located on a small peninsula near Elounda that you have to reach by driving over a tiny bridge and then walking down a rocky path through some old olive groves. The water here is a bright neon blue color that looks like a swimming pool, and the sand is very soft and white, but the beach is quite small so it can get very crowded when the tour boats arrive from the main harbor. There are no stores or cafes here at all, just a few old stone walls and some bushes, so you have to bring your own water and snacks if you want to spend the day hanging out in one of the prettiest spots in the Mirabello Bay.
