About the Beach
Lagoufa Beach is a pretty and shallow beach located on the south coast of Crete near the village of Makrigialos that is mostly known for being part of some big family resorts that have lots of slides and pools nearby. It has golden sand and the water stays very quiet and warm because it sits in a protected bay, so it is a very safe place for kids to swim and play without worrying about big currents or deep holes. There are lots of places to get food and drinks right behind the sand, and the view looks out over the deep blue Libyan Sea which is the part of the ocean that sits between the island of Crete and the coast of Africa.
