Lia Beach is a charming and quiet sandy cove located on the southwestern coast of Syros, near the popular resort of Kini and accessible via a scenic walking path or a short boat ride. It features fine golden sand and clear turquoise water, surrounded by a rugged and dry landscape that provides a sense of peace and privacy away from the busier ports. The beach is unorganized and maintains a local and traditional character, with a few tamarisk trees providing the only source of natural shade along the shore. It is a destination for those who want a simple and relaxed swim in a beautiful setting that feels largely untouched by modern tourism. The water is consistently calm because the bay is well-protected from the northern winds. The entry into the sea is very easy and sandy for all swimmers, making it a practical choice for a peaceful afternoon dip.
