About the Beach
Livadi is a massive, wide-open bay just a short walk or drive from the port. It’s one of the few places on Folegandros where you’ll find a mix of sand and fine shingle that stretches out far enough to never feel crowded. The water is a light turquoise and stays pretty shallow near the edge, which is a nice change from the deep drop-offs you find elsewhere. There are quite a few tamarisk trees lining the back of the beach, offering that rare and precious natural shade. It’s a very quiet and peaceful spot, mostly because it’s a bit away from the main hub of Chora. It’s the kind of place where you can spend a whole afternoon just watching the horizon and feeling the warm Mediterranean breeze.
