About the Beach
Vardia is the secret hidden in plain sight right next to the harbor. You just walk up a short set of stone steps near the port and suddenly you’re looking down at a beautiful sandy cove that feels totally tucked away from the village. It’s a great choice if you want that "remote" feeling without actually having to travel far. The cliffs behind the beach provide some shade in the afternoons and keep the wind at bay. The water is clear and great for a quick snorkel around the rocks at either end. It’s a popular spot for a final swim before catching a ferry, but it’s pretty enough to spend an entire day there. The sand is soft, the water is calm, and it captures that effortless Cycladic beauty perfectly.
