Lorentzaina is a hidden gem on the northern coast of Ios, offering a very private and beautiful setting for a swim. The beach is located in a small, deep bay with a mix of sand and pebbles and incredibly transparent water. Because it faces North, it is a great place to visit when the southern winds are blowing, as the water remains very still. It is accessible by a winding paved road that offers spectacular views of the coastline. There are no facilities or organizations, so the environment is entirely natural and peaceful. The surrounding high rocks provide some shade in the late afternoon and create a very intimate feeling. It is a favorite for locals and travelers who want to escape the busy port and find a quiet corner for themselves.
