About the Beach

Pepas is a small and very quiet beach located on the eastern side of Ios, near the larger Kalamos beach. It is a pebbly shore with deep, cool water that is perfect for a refreshing swim away from the main tourist hubs. Because it is so remote and unorganized, it is almost always empty, providing a true sense of solitude. The landscape is raw and rocky, with no facilities or shade available. It is a great spot for adventurous travelers who enjoy exploring the lesser-known parts of the island and don't mind a bit of a journey to find a private beach. The clarity of the sea here is fantastic, allowing you to see the rocky bottom and small fish even at a significant depth. It is a very honest and simple Aegean cove.
