About the Beach

Myti Kommeni Beach is a very wild and rugged spot on the tiny island of Dokos, which is a special place because almost nobody lives there and the only way to visit is by taking a boat from the nearby islands of Hydra or Spetses. This beach is not like the big sandy ones in the city; it is made of rocks and pebbles and the water is an incredibly deep blue color that is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. Because it is so remote and quiet, it is a favorite place for people on sailing boats to drop their anchors and spend the day jumping into the water and exploring the rocky shoreline where there are no roads or shops at all. It feels like you are a real explorer discovering a secret part of Greece where the only sounds are the wind and the seagulls, and it is a perfect place to see how the islands looked thousands of years ago before any big towns were built.
