About the Beach
Vorina is for the hikers who aren't afraid of a bit of a climb. It’s a north-facing beach, which means it catches the full force of the wind, but that’s also why the water is so shockingly blue and fresh. You have to follow a steep, stony path down the hillside, and the view from the top is absolutely breathtaking—you can see the green-tinted stones on the seabed from hundreds of feet up. The beach is small and covered in those unique green rocks that Folegandros is famous for. Because it’s a bit of a challenge to get to, you’ll likely be one of the only people there. It feels wild, rugged, and completely honest, offering a real sense of solitude and accomplishment once you finally hit the water.
