About the Beach

Voulisma Beach is one of the most beautiful looking beaches in Crete because the sand is very white and the water is a bright neon blue color that looks like it was painted. It is nicknamed Golden Beach because of the color of the sand, and since the water is shallow for a long way out, it is a great place to just float around and hang out with your friends. It can get pretty crowded because everyone wants to take pictures of the amazing colors, but it is worth it to see how the bright blue water glows against the green plants on the hills behind it.
