Getting from Paros to Alexandroupoli
If you are heading to Alexandroupoli from Paros you are making your way to the far northeastern corner of Greece, a city on the Thracian coast close to the Turkish border and the gateway to Samothrace.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Paros to Alexandroupoli. The city is a northern Aegean mainland port with no connection to the Cyclades ferry network. Flying is the only practical option.
Getting there by air
Both Paros and Alexandroupoli have airports. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then Athens to Alexandroupoli takes around 1 hour 15 minutes. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours.
Your best option
Fly via Athens. It is the only realistic approach. If you are planning to visit Samothrace from Alexandroupoli, ferries to the island depart from the port daily in summer with the trip taking around 1 hour 45 minutes.
