Getting from Paros to Kastellorizo

If you are heading to Kastellorizo from Paros you are making one of the longer journeys in the Greek island world, to the easternmost point of Greece, a tiny island just off the Turkish coast with a harbour of neoclassical mansions, the extraordinary Blue Cave and an atmosphere of complete tranquility.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Paros to Kastellorizo. An indirect connection exists via Piraeus and the long Dodecanese route but the total journey by sea takes the better part of two days and is not a realistic option. Flying is the only practical choice.

Getting there by air

Both Paros and Kastellorizo have airports, though Kastellorizo is served via Rhodes. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then Athens to Rhodes takes around 1 hour and Rhodes to Kastellorizo takes around 30 minutes. Total travel time is around 4 to 5 hours.

Your best option

Fly via Athens and Rhodes. It is the only realistic approach for most travellers. Give yourself at least two nights on Kastellorizo. The island is small enough to walk around in an afternoon and extraordinary enough to make you want to stay much longer.
