Getting from Paros to Sifnos

If you are heading to Sifnos from Paros you are making a straightforward hop across the western Cyclades to one of the most respected gastronomic destinations in the Aegean.

Take the ferry

The Paros to Sifnos ferry runs several times a week in summer and less frequently in winter, taking around 2 to 3 hours depending on the vessel and the stops along the way. Most sailings route through Milos or Serifos. Check the schedule before planning around it as the frequency is limited outside of peak summer.

Getting there by air

Sifnos has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then the ferry from Piraeus to Sifnos takes around 3 hours on the fast service. Total travel time adds significant complexity compared to the direct ferry.

Your best option

Take the direct ferry from Paros. It is the most practical approach and avoids going through Athens entirely. Check the schedule in advance as the frequency is limited outside of summer.
