Getting from Paros to Syros
If you are heading to Syros from Paros you are making a short hop to the capital of the Cyclades, a neoclassical port city of grand mansions and an opera house modelled on La Scala.
Take the ferry
The Paros to Syros ferry runs year-round with several daily departures in summer and a few per week in winter. The trip takes around 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes on the fast catamaran and around 2 to 3 hours on a conventional vessel. It is one of the most straightforward connections in the Cyclades and you rarely need to book far in advance.
Getting there by air
Both Paros and Syros have airports. There are no direct flights between the two islands. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights. The ferry is the obvious and more practical choice on this route.
Your best option
Take the ferry. It is direct, frequent and the arrival into Ermoupolis harbour with the neoclassical town rising above the waterfront is one of the better approaches in the Cyclades.
