Getting from Paros to Rhodes

If you are heading to Rhodes from Paros you are making your way to the largest of the Dodecanese, with a medieval walled city built by the Knights of Saint John that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe.

Take the ferry

There is a direct seasonal ferry from Paros to Rhodes running in summer, taking around 8 to 10 hours depending on the vessel and the stops along the way. The route is not year-round so check the schedule before planning around it. Outside of the summer season the connection goes via Piraeus.

Getting there by air

Both Paros and Rhodes have airports. Flying from Paros to Athens takes around 45 minutes and then Athens to Rhodes takes around 1 hour. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Fly via Athens. At around 3 to 4 hours total it is considerably faster than the 8 to 10 hour seasonal ferry. If the ferry timing works perfectly for your schedule and you want the sea journey, it is a good option but flying is the right choice for most people.
