Getting from Rhodes to Kylini

If you are heading to Kylini from Rhodes you are making your way to a port town on the northwestern Peloponnese coast. It has a long sandy beach and the medieval castle of Chlemoutsi nearby, one of the best preserved Frankish fortifications in Greece.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Rhodes to Kylini. Getting there means taking the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus and then travelling by road to Kylini, which takes around 3 to 3.5 hours from Athens via Patras.

Getting there by air

Kylini has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Flying from Rhodes to Athens takes around 1 hour and then the drive to Kylini takes around 3 to 3.5 hours. Total travel time is around 5 to 6 hours.

Your best option

Fly to Athens and drive to Kylini. It is the most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus is the practical choice, then drive west to Kylini via Patras.
