Getting from Rhodes to Kastellorizo
If you are heading to Kastellorizo from Rhodes you are making one of the shortest and most rewarding trips in the Dodecanese, to the easternmost point of Greece just a few hundred metres off the Turkish coast.
Take the ferry
There is a direct ferry from Rhodes to Kastellorizo running several times a week, taking around 3 to 4 hours. It is the most practical and enjoyable way to make this journey and connects the two islands without going through Athens. Check the schedule before planning around it as the frequency is limited.
Getting there by air
Both Rhodes and Kastellorizo have airports. The flight from Rhodes to Kastellorizo takes around 30 minutes and runs several times a week. It is the fastest option and worth considering if the ferry schedule does not align with your dates.
Your best option
Take the ferry if the schedule works. At 3 to 4 hours it is a manageable trip and the arrival into Kastellorizo harbour is one of the finest in the Dodecanese. If the ferry timing does not align, the short flight from Rhodes is a straightforward alternative.
