Getting from Rhodes to Mykonos
If you are heading to Mykonos from Rhodes you are making your way to the most cosmopolitan island in the Cyclades, to the northwest. It has a maze of whitewashed lanes above the port, long beaches on the south coast and some of the best beach clubs in Greece.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Rhodes to Mykonos. Getting there means taking the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus and then connecting onto the Mykonos service, which takes around 2 to 2.5 hours from Piraeus or Rafina.
Getting there by air
Both Rhodes and Mykonos have airports. Flying from Rhodes to Athens takes around 1 hour and then Athens to Mykonos takes around 40 minutes. Total travel time is around 3 to 4 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Fly to Mykonos via Athens. It is the most practical approach. If you are travelling with a car, the overnight ferry from Rhodes to Piraeus is the practical choice, then take the ferry from Piraeus or Rafina to Mykonos.
