About the Beach
Akhladeri Beach is a spectacular and very quiet beach located on the eastern side of Evia that faces the big open Aegean Sea, which means the water is incredibly fresh and has a brilliant dark blue color that goes on forever. The beach is quite long and is made of a mix of sand and colorful pebbles, and it is known for being a very peaceful place where you can find a lot of space to yourself even on the busiest weekends of the summer. Because it faces the open ocean, the waves can sometimes get quite big and exciting when the wind blows, but on calm days, the water is so transparent that you can see all the way to the bottom from the shore. There are a few small rooms and traditional tavernas nearby where you can stay if you want to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, and the whole area feels very remote and wild compared to the busier parts of the island.
