About the Beach

Aliveri Beach actually refers to several pretty coves near the town of Aliveri, with the most popular spot being Karavos, which is a charming harbor area that has been turned into a nice place for swimming and walking with your friends. The beach is made of small pebbles and the water is very clean and deep, which makes it a great place for people who like to jump in and swim long distances across the blue bay while looking at the hills. Even though the town has a big history of industry, the waterfront has been fixed up with many modern cafes, playgrounds, and restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the breeze while watching the fishing boats come and go. It is a very social and lively place during the summer evenings when everyone from the town comes down to the water to eat dinner and enjoy the cool air, and the view across the Euboean Gulf toward the mountains of the mainland is very impressive and wide.
