About the Beach
Kedros Beach is a very popular and beautiful sandy beach located just a short walk away from the main village of Donoussa in a wide bay that is famous for having a sunken German shipwreck from World War II at the bottom. The water is very clear and turquoise, and if you bring a mask and snorkel, you can swim out a little way and see the old metal parts of the ship resting on the sand with lots of fish swimming in and out of the rusted holes. The beach has a very cool and laid back feeling with a small snack bar that plays music, and because the sand is so soft and the water is so blue, it is often the busiest place on the island. It is a great spot to spend the whole afternoon swimming and sunbathing while looking out at the open sea and the big rocky cliffs that surround the bay.
