About the Beach

Stavros Beach is the very first thing you see when you arrive on the tiny island of Donoussa because it is located right next to the small harbor where the ferry drops everyone off. It is a beautiful and very clean sandy beach with bright turquoise water that is surprisingly clear even though it is right in the middle of the main village where all the boats come and go. Because it is so close to everything, you can walk just a few steps from your room to jump into the sea, and there are many nice cafes and traditional tavernas right behind the sand where you can eat lunch while watching the colorful fishing boats bobbing in the water. It is a very friendly and social place where the local children play in the shallow waves, and because the water stays very calm, it is a perfect spot for a relaxing swim at any time of the day without having to hike over the hills.
