About the Beach

Kerame is a quiet and very long pebble beach located on the northern coast, offering a lot of space and a very peaceful environment. It is surrounded by lush green hills and olive groves, giving it a very rural and natural feel compared to the more developed northern resorts. The water is deep and clear, and because the beach is so large, it is very easy to find a private spot even on the busiest days. There are a few small tavernas nearby that serve local food, but the beach itself remains mostly unorganized and wild. It is a great choice for those who enjoy long walks along the shore and want to experience the quieter, more traditional side of northern Ikaria. The view across the sea toward the horizon is wide and open, making it a beautiful place to watch the colors of the water change throughout the afternoon.
