About the Beach

Politika Beach is a very long and impressive beach located on the western coast of Evia that is mostly made of small pebbles and has very deep, dark blue water that feels very refreshing on a hot day. The beach is lined with a long row of traditional fish tavernas and modern cafes where you can sit and enjoy a meal while looking across the water at the mountains of the Greek mainland in the distance. One of the coolest things about this beach is the medieval village and the old stone tower located just a short walk away from the sand, which gives the whole area a very historic and interesting atmosphere. It is a very popular spot for people from the nearby city of Chalkida who come here to enjoy the clean sea and the wide open space, and it is a fantastic place to spend a whole afternoon swimming and then watching the sun go down over the Gulf of Evia with your friends.
