About the Beach

Mourteri Beach is a truly massive and impressive beach on the eastern side of Evia that stretches for nearly five kilometers along the open Aegean Sea, making it one of the longest beaches in the entire country. Because it is so huge and faces the open ocean, the waves here can become very big and powerful, which is why it is a popular spot for people who love to play in the surf or feel the strength of the sea. The beach is made of coarse sand and small pebbles, and the water is a deep, crystal blue that feels very fresh and clean. Because of its incredible size, you can always find a spot where you are completely alone, and the view of the endless horizon where the blue sky meets the blue water is one of the most beautiful sights on the island.
