About the Beach

Platana Beach is a very charming and picturesque beach located near the town of Kymi that is famous for its small harbor and the beautiful old stone houses that line the waterfront. The beach is made of pebbles and has very deep and clean water that is a favorite for people who like to go snorkeling and explore the underwater rocks near the pier. There are many traditional cafes and restaurants where you can sit under the shade of the big plane trees and look out at the colorful boats bobbing in the harbor while you eat a snack. It is a very peaceful and authentic place that feels like a real Greek village, and the combination of the green hills, the stone buildings, and the deep blue Aegean Sea makes it a very relaxing spot to spend a quiet morning in the sun.
