About the Beach

Skinias Beach is a wild and primitive beach on the eastern side of Donoussa that is surrounded by high cliffs and can only be reached by a long walk through the dry hills or by a boat from the sea. The beach is covered in small stones and pebbles and the water is very deep and dark blue, which makes it feel much more wild and powerful than the shallow sandy beaches on the other side of the island. There are no trees for shade and no places to buy water, so you have to bring everything with you if you want to spend the day here enjoying the rugged nature and the sound of the wind. It is a fantastic place for people who love to be alone in nature and want to see the rough and beautiful side of the Greek islands where the land is dry and the ocean is vast and endless, making you feel very small in a very big and beautiful world.
